JTK Green - for the environment in every respect

JTK Green is Jujo Thermal’s promise of doing our best for a greener nature and better future. It means we are continuously reducing the consumption of energy, favouring the use of energy from sustainable sources and respecting nature in every respect.

Ecological technology

As a method, thermal printing is ecological. The equipment is small in size, reliable and consumes relatively little energy. Thermal printing creates less waste than other technologies.

Recyclable material

Thermal paper is completely recyclable. It decomposes cleanly and poses no problems when incinerated. All JTK products and packaging material are recyclable. 

Sustainable development

We have been granted FSC and PEFC chain of custody certification as well as the respected Scandinavian Nordic Swan ecolabel. All pulp used for JTK products is elementary chlorine free (ECF). We are certified also for Quality, Environment and Health, Safety and Security under the latest ISO standards.

Renewable energy

We are continuously endeavouring to reduce the consumption of energy and favouring the use of energy from sustainable sources. Majority of heat energy is produced from recycled material.

Low waste & emissions

JTK actively strives towards minimizing the amount of waste and emissions. The mill has an onsite waste sorting programme. The joint wastewater purifying plant is one of the most advanced in Finland.

Green deliveries

Jujo Thermal favours the use of environmentally-friendly transportation. In practice, this means optimizing transportation space and using train and ship cargo for all destinations possible.
